Sikkuy - The Association for the Advancement of Civic Equality

Ofer joined Sikkuy’s Equality Policy Department in February 2016 to coordinate a Sikkuy project in ‎partnership with the Regional Council of Unrecognized Villages in the Negev, and to advance ‎successful implementation of the government’s 922 plan, designed to equalize allocations for Arab ‎citizens in the state budget. Ofer completed a BA in social science and an MA in organizational ‎sociology at Ben-Gurion University. Ofer has worked for important local NGOs and social initiatives in ‎the Negev, including Shatil (internship), the Negev Coexistence Forum, the Municipality of Beersheva, ‎and as a volunteer with Koach La-Ovdim (the Democratic Workers’ Organization), where he provided ‎professional consulting to the Workers’ Union committee of managers of family day-care centers in the ‎Al Qassum and Neve Midbar regional councils.
