Sikkuy - The Association for the Advancement of Civic Equality (R.A)

Adv. Amal Oraby Hussein joined Sikkuy in 2019 as Equality Policy Department Advocate & Urban Planner, later starting a new position as the coordinator of the Combatting Violence in Arab Society project. Amal holds a combined LL.M. and B.A. in Psychology and Law from the University of Haifa, and an M.A. in Geography and Urban and Regional Planning in the Hebrew University. Amal interned in the Counseling and Legislation Department’s real estate cluster in the Ministry of Justice, and after his certification as a lawyer (2017) worked in a private law firm in East Jerusalem, specializing in administrative law and planning and building law. Prior to joining Sikkuy, Amal contributed, as part of his studies, working in the Urban Clinic at the Hebrew University as a research assistant and teaching assistant in the M.A. course “Planning in Arab Localities”
